Dynatek Curve Maker Software

Heavy K Respect The Drumboss there. I picked up a dynatek FS ignition and fuel controller along with the programmer to write my own ignition curves. A quick look at the curve maker software reveals one thing pretty quick look at map #4 and you will see its the stock map, but dynatek advances it 4 degreese so if you want to see the stock curve just retard timing 4 degreese from this curve. Anyways after asking around I found the RZRs is rich stock, when I installed my wideband I got to see just how much.

Dynatek - DynaFS Curve Maker Programming Kit The DynaFS Programming Kit includes everything you need to reprogram the DynaFS programmable ignition. CurveMaker Software Downloads CurveMaker for Sportbikes Install; CurveMaker for ATV Install. Install DFI Control Center Software V1.0.0.6; Dynatek Fusion Firmware.

I was able to remove 5% on the low and 5% on the mid and around 7% at WOT to hit 13.2:1 Getting back to the curve you will see that it has a huge flat spot in it where polaris pulls a bunch of timing. So with my map leaned out and on #4 advanced 4* from stock my RZRs goes ok, but it doesn't charge to 60 mph and seemed to sit around 5900 rpm unless on totally flat pavement where it would finally build rpm to around 6100 but that was it. Now I do some searching around and find a thread in the turbo section by sparky, he posted an old timing map he has since refined but I thought what the hey I'll toss it in and try it. 'search timing and boost in the forced induction area page 5) I plugged that map in flashed my box and gave it a rip. This is where it gets interesting as he has changed the rpm points along with the timing MORE to get a nice linear curve no flat spots no luls.

Even if he has refined it I can say this is where the biggest gain has come in my rzrs. Now it easily pulls 5800 in about 400' its already breaking into 6000 rpm and going to 60 mph fast. Now it also wants to rev out more it wants to pull 6500+ its not longer struggling to get there. For me this was a major increase in performance and how fast it accellerates to top speed and also how it doesn't loose rpm going up small hills now but carries its speed. Very impressed with the changes.

Surely others results could vary and Im sure other stock rzrs maybe faster than mine outta the box, truth it now mine performs like I always wanted it to. I have a tsi turbo kit on its way to me now to step it up even more but figured this stepping stone for me might help others out seaching as there really is limited sharing of fuel numbers and ignition curves on this forum.

This engine really seems to respond to timing changes! Sparky's Curve 0700 - 8 1600 - 16 2100 - 24 3000 - 30 3500 - 32 3500 - 32 5500 - 35 6000 - 35 6500 - 34 7000 - 33 Stock Curve plus 4* so if you want the bone stock rzrs curve then take away 4* from each number below. 700 - 8 1600 - 15 1900 - 24 3500 - 30 4300 - 25 4900 - 25 5100 - 29 5700 - 31 7000 - 31 7000 - 31 Here are the graphs of stock vs Sparky. You can see the huge lul in the stock curve. I beleive he is pulling those couple degreese of timing before redline because he is turbo. You can likely carry that 35* right to red line, I moved my redline back to 6700 as well.

I spent weeks searching all this stuff out, and figured it would be helpful all in one place. Im sure that Sparky has curves and idea's well beyond this I emailed him earlier and he was very helpful. This really really woke my machine up and I see lots of threads that say the ignition isn't worth it etc, well if you rely on their curves etc then they are right its not worth it but if you get some balls and dig a little deeper you will be pleasantly surprised I sure was. Did this make any difference to how far you can go on a tank of fuel? Better, worse or about the same?

Not that I'm aware, maybe I need a side business. All joking aside its VERY simple to do and very use friendly if you have the stuff. You require the dynatek PROGRAMABLE ignition for the rzr, if you wish to modify the fuel curve you require the fuel box, which comes with the stuff to write your own ign curves. If you do not want to adjust fuel you need the DIPK-7 programmer kit which will let you program the ignition.

Its as simple as load the program on your laptop hook up the usb adaptor start the program modify which ever curve you wish Send the new curve to the box Ride If you just copy the numbers I posted its about a 20 minute process start to finish. If you wish to refine then let the tinkering begin. I wasn't aware of anyone really offering custom maps and Im more of a tinkerer kinda guy. I spent considerable time here reading before I bought any parts as most times you get all excited read a couple reviews order the part read some more and eventually you see its not worth any gains.
