Hp 850c Driver Windows 7
Thanks for replying, but I managed to fix the problem on my own:) The problem was the plrt to which I had been trying to install the printer. I am out and do not have the laptop with me now to be more precise, but what I did was change the port to something like a 'USB virtual device' port or the like. And it worked swiftly. I think this experience might be useful for other users, and since none of the forums or help files I have seen so far had any guidance about which port is the right choice, I am sharing it here.
For the record, it is a Samsung laptop with an AMD processor. If it matters, I can be more precise as soon as I get back home. The installation was done by searching for the driver in Windows Update. Nothing tricky. By the way, the HP website leaves you cold, saying that there is no driver available for the 840c that will work under Win 10. What a bummer.
